Authorising-Engineer and other services. Focusing on fire safety and information security for NHS Trusts and other UK based healthcare establishments.

Fire Safety Authorising Engineer Services

AdashE is a specialist Authorising Engineer service for fire safety at NHS Trusts and other UK-based healthcare organisations. We have developed our services around the real needs of healthcare providers, recognising the complexity of hospitals and patient care facilities.

Our objective is to balance the practical demands of critical care with the need to maintain fire safety compliance, ensuring safe conditions for patients, staff, and visitors.

The service was established by Dr Paul Bryant as a dedicated division of Firecubed LLP. Paul is supported by two leading experts in healthcare fire safety — Jamie Keay and Lee Harvey. In addition, Jamie Keats provides expert support in developing retrospective fire strategies for healthcare premises.

Our key areas of support include:

Specialist fire safety, protection and advisory services in line with HTM 05 series standards, British Standards, and other regulations. This includes Authorising Engineer representation with third parties such as enforcement authorities, building control, and project teams. We also undertake specialist assessments of passive and active fire safety systems.
Authorising Engineer Audits against HTM 05-01. Our audit methodology and reporting are recognised by NHS England as a suitable framework for assessing clinical environments. Each audit results in an executive-level report with recommendations (if required) to improve fire safety management.
Retrospective fire strategies. Increasingly required by NHS Trusts and healthcare organisations, these documents provide a detailed overview of fire safety provisions, including means of escape, fire detection and suppression systems, passive protection, and firefighting arrangements. Our fire strategies follow the HTM 05-02 format and have been widely adopted by NHS Trusts. We also provide fire compartmentation plans in both PDF and DWG formats.
Client portal (from February 2026). Each client will have access to a dedicated portal on our website, where all documents produced by us can be securely stored and downloaded at any time.
